Hideaway Caye is located 14 miles northeast of the small fishing village of Placencia, Belize. The island is
nestled in the center of a 10 island chain, locally known as The Pelican Caye Range. The range of islands
is known for it's abundance of fish and wildlife. You can kayak all day in the clear protected waters, or snorkel
around the island and explore the nearby reef. You may just want to lay around in a hammock and enjoy the view
of The Magestic Mayan Mountains to the west.
Hideaway Caye is a 3 acre mangrove island that we have tried to leave in it's natural state. In keeping with it's natural
state elevated boardwalks lead you through the island. The boardwalk leads you to your swimming and fishing pleasures.
Hideaway Caye offers only one cabana, so the island is yours. The only other people you will see is an ocassional fisherman
or a sailboat stopping by for a beer or dinner at the restaurant.
